Glass artist Judith Roux working in the studio, using flamework technique on the artwork On the Way during her residency at S12 gallery in Bergen Norway. She is using a torch to bend and shape borosilicate glass rods of 4mm diameter.

Working with glass to create objects and installations that encourage the audience to take stock in the everyday, Judith Roux works with careful and deliberate actions aiming to challenge on our usual ways of engaging with our surroundings. Each word, each step, carries its own weight offered to the audience to actively co-create a moment in time within her installations. Her work asks the audience to stop, take a breath, look a little bit closer to what at first appears to be a minimal gesture but in fact, is the entire world.
