up to / the brink - Phase I

Borosilicate and soft glass, seeds
40x40X45 cm

Glass facilitated scientific revolutions
enabling the study and understanding of the world we live in
Thanks to its properties it is ideal for observation and conservation.
Looked upon as fragile, like the status of our ecosystem on the verge of collapse,
glass remains permanent due to its inability to decompose.
This cathedral, inspired by the greenhouse architecture, stands as a vault.
A brittle one, as a reminder of the precarity of our situation,
both calling for care and attention.
